I had to read...Lots of "big" reads here. I had to read Great Expectations in high school as well. Hated it. I haven't tried Dickens in long form since--but I do have A Tale of Two Cities on the list for 2012. We'll see how that goes. We had to skip over an entire chapter, because we hadn't read Othello(?, I think that's the play referenced) and thus the chapter would not make sense. Ugh, it was dreadful, and long and boring.
